Strengthening coordination to ensure security of the State Treasury
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 19, 2015, Nghe An State Treasury and Nghe An Provincial Police held a conference to review the implementation of Joint Circular No. 40 dated July 25, 1996 and deploy Circular 187 dated December 9, 2014 between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Public Security on ensuring security and safety of assets in the State Treasury system.

The two sectors have coordinated well in performing tasks such as: Internal political protection; fire prevention and fighting, ensuring the safety of state money and assets; and combating counterfeit money. In particular, the Provincial Police have coordinated and trained security guards of the Nghe An State Treasury; organized drills to practice plans to prevent break-ins and robberies at the State Treasury headquarters; escorted and protected special shipments; provided guidance and regular inspections on fire prevention and fighting. Detected, investigated, and handled 01 case, arrested 2 subjects related to the acts of storing, transporting, and circulating counterfeit money, seized 70,000 Thai Baht. Deployed many plans and projects to combat subjects trading, storing, and transporting counterfeit money in many areas such as Tan Ky, Quynh Luu, Thai Hoa, etc.
In the coming time, the Provincial Police and the State Treasury of Nghe An have agreed to regularly coordinate and effectively implement the Inter-sectoral Coordination Regulations on the work of protecting security and safety of assets between the two sectors of the Police and the State Treasury.
