(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 11, the Supervisory Delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee, led by Comrade Tran Cong Duong - Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, had a working session at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to listen to the results of the implementation of a number of contents on state management in the field of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the meeting, the representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported to the monitoring delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Culture Committee on the work of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the first 6 months of the year, the implementation of key tasks in the last 6 months of 2015, the work of state management of relics and scenic spots in the province, and the results of the implementation of building grassroots cultural and sports institutions associated with the construction of new rural areas in the province.

Representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the implementation of state management work in related fields of the Culture sector.

Accordingly, in the first 6 months of the year, the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector has closely followed the orientation and key tasks to concretize them into the sector's action plan and proactively achieved a number of comprehensive results in all areas of work, completing the targets and plans set by the sector. In particular, many major festivals have been successfully organized, widely promoting the image of Nghe An to domestic and foreign friends.

Comrade Ton Thi Cam Ha - Deputy Head of the Culture Committee - Provincial People's Council is concerned about the situation of shabby landscape and lack of attention to environmental sanitation at cultural relics.

Regarding the state management of relics and scenic spots in the province, the Department continues to propagate the implementation of the Law on Cultural Heritage, advise and direct the acceleration of the inventory and assessment of relics. In 2015, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducted the compilation of classification records for 33 relics, to date the whole province has 326 relics and scenic spots ranked at all levels. In addition, the Department is also renovating 17 relics with a total cost of 2.8 billion VND. Closely coordinate with relevant departments to soon complete the zoning, boundary marking, and issuance of land use right certificates for ranked relics. At the same time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with relevant departments and branches to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to issue documents directing the implementation of the construction of cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots level associated with the construction of new rural areas.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Secretary of Nam Dan District Party Committee reflected that the planning of relics still lacks orientation, and that strategic planning of relic sites is needed.

After listening to the reports of the industry, the delegates made many recommendations to the Culture, Sports and Tourism industry such as: In the current general development process, the countryside is being distorted, gradually losing the traditional cultural space of the nation due to the lack of a common orientation of the cultural industry. The process of embellishing cultural relics in many places has caused the traditional cultural value of the relics to disappear.

In addition, many tourist attractions in the province have not yet promoted their value. It is necessary to promote socialization to combine high-performance sports with mass sports. Although there have been guiding documents, the management and organization of festivals have not had many changes, many relics are messy, pollute the environment, and lose their beauty. Many degraded relics need to be invested in and repaired. The role of the cultural sector in building cultural institutions in villages and communes in building new rural areas, and culture associated with tourism still has many limitations; some mechanisms and policies in the cultural field are slow to innovate,...

On behalf of the monitoring delegation, comrade Tran Cong Duong acknowledged the efforts of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the past time. At the same time, he requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue to pay attention and perform well its state management function, advise on the issuance of regulations associated with sanctions under its authority to ensure cultural environmental hygiene, especially in public works.
