Increase investment and develop synchronous IT infrastructure

(Baongean.vn) -This afternoon, January 18, the Department of Information and Communications held a conference to summarize the information and communications work in 2012 and deploy tasks for 2013. Attending the conference were leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In 2012, the Department of Information and Communications carried out the key tasks of the sector and units in accordance with the established plan; promptly and effectively deployed the state management activities of the sector. Press and publishing activities continued to develop in the right direction; well directed information and propaganda work according to the direction of the Ministry of Information and Communications and the province; management of publishing, printing and distribution was strengthened and rectified. The direction of developing information and communication infrastructure continued to be promoted. The communication system ensured to meet the requirements of the leadership and management, serving the needs of society. The IT infrastructure of the province and units has been invested and developed in the right direction and according to the planning (Nghe An is one of the localities invested in the most modern and synchronous information systems serving leadership and management).

Conference overview.

Up to now, the online electronic meeting system has been deployed connecting 24 points from the province to departments, branches, sectors, districts and towns in the whole province; the provincial electronic information portal integrates 46 sub-portals and 12 independent websites; 195 radio stations are licensed to use radio frequencies and equipment. 100% of communes in the province have postal service points, meeting national technical standards for public postal services; the density of telephone subscribers in the whole province in 2012 is estimated at 141.5 subscribers/100 people, the density of converted internet subscribers is estimated at 21.8 subscribers/100 people...

Based on the results achieved, in 2013, the Department of Information and Communications will focus on leading and implementing key tasks on deploying the application of online public services in state management agencies; strengthening the management of press and publishing activities; implementing the project "developing wireless radio stations to commune and ward levels in Nghe An province", implementing the following contents in the national target program to bring information to mountainous areas, remote areas, border areas, islands...

At the conference, the Ministry of Information and Communications awarded the 2012 Emulation Flag to the Department of Information and Communications; the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 1 individual; the Department of Information and Communications awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 districts and 11 individuals.
