Strengthen supervision, improve efficiency and quality of public service implementation

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 28, in Vinh City, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a regular meeting of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee in January to hear the results of 1 year of implementing Directive 17 - CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on strengthening discipline and administrative discipline in agencies and units in the province and some other important contents. Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting.

Also attending the meeting were comrades in the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

After 1 year of implementing Directive 17-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, in parallel with organizing the dissemination, propaganda, dissemination and issuance of documents to organize the implementation of the Directive, the province has established an interdisciplinary team to conduct inspections and supervision of the implementation of the Directive in 8 departments, branches and 21 districts, cities and towns; the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department established 2 survey teams in 7 district and city party committees and agencies, departments and branches; a number of districts, cities and towns proactively conducted inspections and supervision of the implementation of the Directive at the grassroots level.

The inspection results show that since the issuance of Directive 17-CT/TU, the situation of compliance with discipline and administrative discipline has changed positively, some contents have had clear and outstanding effects such as not drinking alcohol during working hours and lunch break of the working day; there have been many efforts in public service reform.

Many Party committees have paid attention to directing, leading, managing, educating cadres and Party members and actively urging and improving the effectiveness of administrative reform; leaders have demonstrated their responsibility and role in setting an example in implementing the Directive; overcome shortcomings and limitations in implementing labor discipline and working style; formed a number of typical examples and good practices in seriously implementing Directive 17 - CT/TU...

Concluding the working session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Duc Phoc assessed that after 1 year of implementation, Directive 17-CT/TU has been very important and meaningful in improving the quality and efficiency of the administrative apparatus, rectifying the working style of civil servants; there have been many creative ways to implement the Directive; a number of violations have been initially handled. However, the inspection of the Directive has only covered 3 out of 6 contents; some departments and branches still have cumbersome administrative procedures; civil servants do not dare to do and take responsibility; the work of rectifying and handling illegally recruited civil servants and public employees has not been completely handled; some party members and leaders have not promoted their exemplary role; the handling of violations has not been really drastic, only in the form of criticism and reminders...

Regarding the orientation in the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that the Party committees, authorities and Party committees of agencies, units and branches need to do a good job of propagating and thoroughly understanding Directive 17-CT/TU in Party organizations, cadres and Party members; strengthen the urging of the implementation of Directive 17-CT/TU in conjunction with the implementation of the Project according to Directive 07-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of Party members and Directive 03 of the Politburo on continuing to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; carry out administrative reforms, improve public service ethics and civil servants in a practical direction; have timely forms of commendation for exemplary organizations and individuals and resolutely handle violations of work style and efficiency; periodically annually evaluate the implementation of Directive 17-CT/TU in conjunction with summarizing Party building work and classifying and evaluating emulation annually./.
