(Baonghean.vn) - In addition to checking the trading of pigs and pork products in communes with African swine fever, the interdisciplinary inspection team of Nghe An province will also continue to conduct surprise inspections at a number of slaughterhouses in the area.

On the morning of September 10, the province's interdisciplinary delegation coordinated with Yen Thanh district to inspect the trading of pigs and pork products in communes with African swine fever in the district.

In the morning, the delegation inspected the Cong Thanh crossroads market area, pork retail points in hamlet 5, Cong Thanh, Hom Hop Thanh market and food retail points on National Highway 7B.

Through inspection at 2 market locations, basically all traders complied with regulations on trading pork products. However, on some roads in residential areas, there are still some traders trading pork products of unknown origin, without quarantine stamps from veterinary agencies.

At two pork retail points in Cong Thanh and Hoa Thanh communes, the delegation handed over to the local authorities and the commune police to make records of administrative fines and destroy the pork for sale; at the same time, reminded the commune authorities to seriously carry out the inspection of transportation, control of trading, and slaughter of pork products in the epidemic area to limit the spread of African swine fever.
