Strengthening inspection and urging the collection of public opinions on the Draft Amendment to the 1992 Constitution
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, February 26, the Steering Committee for collecting public opinions on the Draft Amendment to the 1992 Constitution of Nghe An province held a meeting to evaluate the direction of organizing the collection of public opinions on the Draft Amendment to the Constitution in the province in the past time.
Comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee chaired the meeting. Members of the Provincial Standing Committee: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Pham Van Tan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation also attended.

Up to this point, the work carried out according to the plan to collect public opinions on the Draft Amendment to the 1992 Constitution has met the requirements and progress set out. The members of the Steering Committee, the Secretariat, and the Steering Committee's Working Group have proactively and effectively carried out their work. Most localities and units in the province have carried out the collection of opinions and have received the attention of many people. The opinions have been published in the province's mass media and sent directly to the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council. The content of the people's opinions focuses on the political regime, human rights, basic rights and obligations of citizens; local government; councils, constitutions, etc.
Concluding the meeting, comrade Tran Hong Chau requested the members of the Steering Committee and related sectors, the secretariat and the working group of the Steering Committee to focus on preparing the contents and tasks for the thematic session of the 16th Provincial People's Council on collecting comments on the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution to be held in March 2013. The secretariat and the working group should study to have methods and ways to synthesize the comments of all classes of people on the Draft Amendments to the Constitution in a general and highly general manner to present at the session for the delegates of the Provincial People's Council to participate in giving comments. The members of the Steering Committee should pay attention to checking and urging the implementation of collecting comments in districts, cities and towns from now until before March 10; strengthen propaganda, grasp information, orient public opinion, contributing to improving the quality of comments on the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution.
