Strengthening information grasp and public opinion orientation for young people

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of July 8, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee held a conference to review the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in the first 6 months of 2013, cluster 3. 40 grassroots Youth Union cadres from 10 grassroots Youth Unions in cluster 3, including: Nghe An Business Union, Provincial Agencies Union; Provincial Police; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Border Guard Command; Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Nghi Loc, Nam Dan, and Hung Nguyen attended the conference.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Youth Union of the 3rd meeting cluster organized many rich and practical contents, which were materialized through programs attracting a large number of Youth Union members to participate, such as: The project of collecting vegetation and clearing firebreaks of the Nam Dan District Youth Union; dredging canals of the Hung Nguyen District Youth Union; building rural roads of the Vinh City Youth Union; cleaning the marine environment of the Cua Lo Town Youth Union; launching the movement of working overtime and youth creativity of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, organizing visits and giving 527 gifts to policy families and poor students of the Business Bloc Youth Union; participating in supporting resettled compatriots of the Provincial Police Youth Union; Military Command; Provincial Border Guard.

In addition, the grassroots unions in cluster 3 have had some new and effective forms of volunteer activities such as: distributing charity porridge from Nghi Loc District Union; donating breeding cows to the provincial police union; 100 VND house (Provincial Border Guard Union)...

However, propaganda and education work is not regular and not very effective. Grasping the ideological situation and public opinion of young people is slow, weak, and lacks information. The moral degradation of a part of young people is increasingly serious. The role of companionship in career counseling is still limited. The replication of economic development models is not regular.

The grassroots Youth Union officials focused on discussing the work of gathering information and orienting public opinion of the Youth Union; at the same time, they pointed out the current situation and proposed solutions to improve the quality of grassroots Youth Union activities. The meeting also discussed and proposed solutions to innovate and improve the quality of education, create a playground, unite and gather young people, and accompany young people in career guidance and employment. The meeting also sought solutions to overcome the shortage of young union members in the Youth Union.
