Strengthening the dissemination and education of law to the people

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 13, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to evaluate the dissemination and education of law in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

Attending the conference were members of the provincial legal education council, representatives of the provincial People's Committee Office, the People's Council Office, and the provincial People's Committee. Comrade Thai Van Hang, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Legal Education Coordination Council chaired the conference.

Conference overview

In the first 6 months of the year, the coordination of legal education and dissemination in the area has been actively directed. The Legal Education and Dissemination Coordination Council has advised on the development and promulgation of 8 plans and 4 decisions, guiding localities and agencies to widely disseminate many important legal documents such as the amended Constitution and the 2013 amended Land Law, the Law on Mediation, the Law on Residence, Traffic... in many diverse forms such as oral propaganda, mobile propaganda, organizing competitions to learn, and popularizing through the mass media... contributing to raising awareness and sense of law compliance among the people.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Thai Van Hang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the results achieved and noted that in the coming time, localities and units need to overcome difficulties, innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of legal education and dissemination in the community, contributing to socio-political stability and promoting socio-economic development of the province. In particular, implementing well the peak period of propaganda on seas and islands; focusing on propagating legal documents closely related to people's rights such as: Constitution, Land Law, Anti-corruption Law; Bailiff Institution, maintaining effective activities of "Law Day" to honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in law enforcement; perfecting and improving the quality of activities of the Legal Education Coordination Council at all levels, the team of reporters, grassroots mediators and teachers of Civic Education at all levels; Do a good job of inspection, promptly detect advanced models to replicate and weaknesses to overcome.
