(Baonghean.vn) - On December 29, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 held its 10th conference (Term IX). Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff, Deputy Minister of National Defense attended and delivered a speech at the conference. Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet - Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar of Military Region 4 chaired the conference.

Evaluating the leadership results in 2014, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 focused on comprehensive, synchronous, focused leadership and direction of all aspects of work; the basic goals, targets and tasks were well completed, some contents were excellently completed. The position and strength of the national defense were consolidated and enhanced. The overall quality and combat strength of the armed forces of Military Region 4 were raised. The Party Committee of Military Region 4 was truly strong in politics, ideology and organization, leading the armed forces of Military Region 4 to successfully carry out all assigned tasks. In 2014, the armed forces of Military Region 4 had over 10,000 officers, soldiers, regular troops, militia and self-defense forces and over 200 vehicles participating in helping people fight forest fires and overcome the consequences of natural disasters. Military Region 4 admitted 1,030 party members, reaching 108% of the yearly plan.

In 2015, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 continues to lead and direct the strengthening of the defense potential; proactively forecast, grasp and effectively handle situations, avoid being passive and surprised. Build a comprehensively strong Military Region 4 with high overall quality and combat power, meeting the requirements of assigned tasks. Continue to promote the implementation of breakthroughs in adjusting the force organization; improve the quality of training, education and training; comply with discipline and administrative reform; innovate the working methods and style of agencies and cadres at all levels. Well organize activities to celebrate holidays and major events, especially the 70th anniversary of the Military Region 4's traditional day; successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels and the 10th Military Region 4 Party Congress.
