(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, August 2, the Provincial Border Guard Command held a conference to review border work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the remaining months of the year.
Thoroughly grasping and implementing the border work plan at all levels, with the spirit of proactively fighting against all types of crimes, the Nghe An Border Guard Command regularly directs units on the two border lines of the province to synchronously deploy professional measures to grasp the situation at home and abroad, at sea, thereby having effective measures to resolve incidents occurring in the area, without being passive or surprised. The unit has proactively detected the source, established and successfully fought 04 special projects on the fight against drug crimes. Timely detected, arrested and handled 37 cases/46 subjects illegally buying, selling and storing drugs. Detected, arrested and handled 187 cases/351 subjects along with 74 means of smuggling, commercial fraud and other violations; The total amount of fines paid to the State Treasury is 380,050,000 VND.
Border guards in the province have proactively and actively advised and coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to build and consolidate political bases and develop local socio-economic culture. Propaganda and mobilization of people to comply with the Party's policies, the State's laws, and local regulations, especially participating in the new rural construction movement... promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral example in conjunction with implementing Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XI), being ready to respond to natural disasters and fires; paying attention to training and improving the capacity of cadres to meet the requirements of the new situation; at the same time, consolidating and building a clean, green, and beautiful regular unit, comprehensively completing the tasks of the year.
