Double the support level for crops damaged by natural disasters and epidemics
(Baonghean) - On March 21, 2013, the Ministry of Finance amended and supplemented Article 2 of Circular No. 187/2010/TT-BTC dated November 22, 2010 of the Ministry of Finance regulating the mechanism and policies to support plant varieties, livestock and aquatic products to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and epidemics.
Accordingly, the pure rice cultivation area that is damaged by more than 70% will be supported with 2 million VND; the damage from 30-70% will be supported with 1 million VND. The hybrid rice cultivation area that is damaged by more than 70% will be supported with 3 million VND/ha; the damage from 30-70% will be supported with 1.5 million VND. The corn and vegetable areas that are damaged by more than 70% will be supported with 2 million VND/ha; the damage from 30-70% will be supported with 1 million VND/ha. The industrial crop and perennial fruit tree areas that are damaged by more than 70% will be supported with 4 million VND/ha; the damage from 30-70% will be supported with 2 million VND/ha. All of these support levels are double the previous regulations.
At the same time, this Circular also changes the support level for livestock damaged by natural disasters. In particular, poultry is supported from 10,000 - 20,000 VND/head; pigs are supported 750,000 VND/head; buffalo, cows, horses are supported 4 million VND/head; deer, sheep, goats are supported: 2 million VND/head.
In addition, the support level for aquaculture and seafood farming is regulated more specifically, corresponding to each type of aquaculture and seafood. Specifically, support from 7 million - 10 million VND/ha for traditional fish farming areas damaged by more than 70%; support from 3 million - 7 million VND/ha if damaged by 30 - 70%; support from 6 million - 8 million VND/ha for intensive black tiger shrimp farming areas damaged by more than 70%, support from 4 million - 6 million VND/ha if damaged by 30 - 70%;...
This Circular takes effect from the date of signing. Policies to support plant varieties, livestock breeds, and aquatic breeds to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and dangerous epidemics shall be implemented from December 30, 2012.
