(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 12, technical workers installed steel protective railings around the edge of the basement of Vicentra Vinh building in block 1, Quang Trung ward, Vinh city.

As previously reported, at around 11:30 a.m. on April 10, a woman accidentally fell into the basement while going to a restaurant in front of the building's lobby and died.

At the time of the unfortunate incident, the basement was surrounded by only a 70cm wall, while the restaurant was right next to the basement edge, making it very dangerous.

After the incident, the building management installed an additional 80cm high steel railing system around the edges of the basement.

Speaking to reporters on the morning of April 12, Mr. Ho Huu Dac, a technical officer of the building, said that the installation was carried out immediately after the fatal accident occurred there. The installation will be done quickly and completed in the next few days.

The building's management added that after the incident, the building's management board went to the unfortunate woman's family to burn incense and offer condolences.

It is known that the two restaurants in front of the building's lobby and on the basement's edge are leased long-term by the building's management board.
