March 4, 2011 10:17

Minister Pham Vu Luan emphasized that disciplinary action will be increased against the Chairman of the Board of Directors if he sends out an incorrect recruitment notice.

In the circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2011 University and College Admissions Regulations that has just been issued, Minister Pham Vu Luan clearly stated:

Warning or higher disciplinary action against the Chairman of the Admissions Council and other relevant persons when sending admission notices to candidates who do not submit application documents for admission to the school.

Schools will also be disciplined if they notify and end the receipt of candidates' application documents not on time, have admission scores for wishes contrary to regulations, and calculate the floor score with the exam score multiplied by the coefficient.

This year, candidates will not have to receive dozens of admission notices.

The Ministry of Education and Training also noted that the chairman of the school's admissions council directly reviews the list of successful candidates submitted by the Secretariat and signs the notice of successful candidates for admission. The notice must clearly state the candidate's exam results and the necessary procedures for the candidate upon admission; the notice of successful candidates must not be sent to candidates who do not submit an application for admission to the school.

Schools start the school year no later than October 30. Every October 15, schools make a list of admitted candidates and post it on the Internet.

This Circular takes effect from April 14, 2011. Previous regulations contrary to this Circular are hereby annulled.
