Increasing Vietnam-Brunei trade and investment cooperation

At the reception, President Truong Tan Sang welcomed the Minister's visit and work in Vietnam. Recalling the unforgettable memories of his State visit to Brunei, the President sent his warm regards to the Sultan and Royal Family of Brunei.
The President expressed his gratitude for Brunei's support for Vietnam at regional and international forums, wishing the Minister a successful visit at the 47th Southeast Asian Education Ministers' Council Meeting held in Vietnam.
The President affirmed that Vietnamese ministries and branches welcome and create conditions for the delegation to visit provinces and localities to conduct field surveys.
Believing that the cooperative relationship between the two countries still has much potential, the President suggested that, along with expanding cooperation in the field of education, the two countries should increase the exchange of ministerial-level delegations to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, energy industry, and investment and trade.
The President affirmed and believed that Vietnam and other members in the region would actively support Brunei in its capacity as ASEAN Chair.
Minister Hagi Apong affirmed that the visit of the Brunei delegation aims to implement high-level commitments between the two countries during the visit and working visit of President Truong Tan Sang to Brunei.
The Minister expressed his wish to welcome the Minister of Education and Training and the Vietnamese delegation to visit and work in Brunei to continue discussing cooperation plans.
Thanking the President for his proposal to contribute to promoting the relationship between the two countries, the Minister emphasized that the survey results of the delegation during the visit to Vietnamese provinces and cities will be reported to the relevant agencies and a large number of Bruneian businesses, creating opportunities for trade cooperation between the two countries./.
