Giving gifts to relatives of martyrs on Gac Ma Island (Truong Sa Archipelago)
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, March 11, in Vinh city, the Association of War Veterans of the National Oil and Gas Group and the Association of War Veterans of Nghe An province jointly presented gifts to 8 families whose relatives died on Gac Ma island, part of Truong Sa archipelago.
This is the activity "Comradely affection" of the Association of War Veterans of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, together with the Association of War Veterans of Binh Son Petrochemical Company Limited and Thanh Nien Newspaper, to practically commemorate the 64 heroes and martyrs who died at Gac Ma Island to protect the national sovereignty over the East Sea exactly 25 years ago (March 14, 1988). Last year, from the extra work on Saturdays, the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group and the Association of War Veterans of the agency spent 12 billion VND on gratitude and social security. Particularly, Binh Son Petrochemical Company Limited has many activities to show gratitude to families of war invalids and martyrs, supporting the poor in some localities with an average of 5 billion VND per year.

Association of War Veterans of Petrochemical Refinery Company Limited donated gifts to families
This time, the Association of War Veterans of the Oil and Gas Group and the Company presented gifts worth 104 million VND to 8 families of martyrs: Tran Van Minh (Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu), Nguyen Tat Nam (Thuong Son commune, Do Luong), Dau Xuan Tu (Nghi Yen commune, Nghi Loc) and Ho Van Nuoi (Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc), Phan Hung Son (Dien Nguyen commune, Dien Chau), Le Ba Giang (Hung Dung ward, Vinh city); Phan Van Duong (Nam Kim commune, Nam Dan) and Cao Dinh Luong (Trung Thanh commune, Yen Thanh). The value of the gifts for each family is 13 million VND, including 10 million VND in cash from the Association of War Veterans of the Oil and Gas Group and 3 million VND in kind (electric fans, electric rice cookers and electric water bottles) from the Association of War Veterans of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited.

Receiving the gifts, the martyrs' families were deeply moved and thanked the Party, the State in general and the Association of War Veterans of the Oil and Gas Group in particular for their attention, and promised to continue promoting tradition and building an increasingly innovative homeland.
