Increase monthly allowance for military personnel by 26.5%

According to Joint Circular No.99/2012/TTLT-BQP-BTCissued by the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of National Defense, will increase the monthly allowance for soldiers under the prescribed subjects by 26.5%. The time to enjoy this new adjustment is calculated from May 1, 2012.

The subjects of application are soldiers receiving monthly allowances according to the provisions of Decision No.142/2008/QD-TTg, Decision No.38/2010/QD-TTg(soldiers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country, enlisted from April 30, 1975 or earlier, had less than 20 years of service in the army, were demobilized, discharged and returned to their localities and are not currently eligible for pension, disability or monthly sick leave benefits), and soldiers and people working in secretarial work who receive salaries as soldiers and people's police who are receiving monthly allowances according to the provisions of Decision No.62/2011/QD-TTg.

From May 1, 2012, the monthly allowance for the above subjects will be increased by 26.5%. The adjustment formula is as follows:
