(Baonghean) - On the morning of April 4, in Vinh City, the Provincial Party Standing Committee had a working session with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, mass organizations and member associations at the provincial level on the results of the first quarter and tasks for the second quarter of 2014.

Representative of the Provincial Party Committee Office reported on the summary of the work results of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations in the first quarter.

Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has successfully organized the program "Warm Tet for the poor - Spring Giap Ngo 2014", mobilizing 185 collectives and individuals to register to donate money and gifts, worth over 9.6 billion VND, now 163 units and individuals have transferred 4.03 billion VND; coordinated to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Project to promote the role of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in building new rural areas; Project to improve the effectiveness of the Party's leadership over the government and mass organizations in coordinating to resolve sudden and prominent cases; Promote propaganda of the law on complaints and denunciations and Decision 217 and Decision 218 of the Politburo on the regulations on supervision and social criticism of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations; participate in giving opinions on building the Party and government...

Along with the front, mass organizations and associations continue to have a number of active activities to support members and people. Concluding the working session, comrade Tran Hong Chau acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding performance of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its members in the first quarter. Regarding the tasks of the second quarter, it is necessary to focus on propagating the implementation of the Constitution, stepping up the fight against the anti-government arguments of hostile forces; actively participating in the Provincial Party Committee's Projects related to the mass mobilization and mass organizations; drawing experience from the district-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress; reviewing and supplementing the cadre planning; evaluating the results of rotating cadres of the mass organizations to continue to have a plan for additional rotation; perfecting the work of the Party, the Youth Union and a number of positions of the Front and mass organizations.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that in the coming time, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations must focus on three campaigns: Continuing to mobilize people in the clearance of National Highway 1A; propagating and exposing bad tricks and signs of fraud among the people; mobilizing people to actively participate in building the New Rural Area. In addition to the above key contents, the Fatherland Front at all levels and mass organizations need to orient the people and propose solutions to competent authorities for timely handling. Based on the proposal of the Fatherland Front and the explanatory report of the representative of the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Deputy Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee to assign relevant departments and branches to organize the implementation.
