The Department of Performing Arts requested that production units submit complete documents, scripts, and compositions for strict censorship of dialogue, avoiding vulgar words that are not in accordance with the nation's fine customs.

The Performing Arts Department (NTBD) has just issued a document requesting the Vietnam Television Drama Production Center to submit a license application and the content of the 2015 Tao Quan program for the competent authority to censor and grant a performance license according to the provisions of law.

Although it has just begun the rehearsal and scripting stages, Tao Quan 2015 has already heated up public opinion with the news of being banned from performing. Now, there is a reminder from the Department of Performing Arts to strictly censor the program's content before it airs on New Year's Eve.

Accordingly, the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) requested that production units must submit complete documents, scripts, and compositions to strictly censor dialogues, avoiding vulgar words that are not suitable for the nation's fine customs.

Official dispatch reminding the production unit of Tao Quan 2015 from the Department of Performing Arts

“In order to implement regulations on performing arts, fashion shows, beauty and model contests; circulation and trading of audio and video recordings of music, dance and stage performances, the Department of Performing Arts requests the Television Film Production Center - Vietnam Television when organizing art performances (Year-end Meeting Program - Tao Quan 2015) outside the headquarters of the television agency, the performing unit must submit an application for a license” - the official dispatch of the Department of Performing Arts clearly stated.

In addition to not submitting a license application, Tao Quan 2015 was also reminded to strictly censor content, clearly stating how many acts will be in the program, the composer, director and participating artists for the authorities to review.

This is not the first time the Tao Quan production team has received a "subpoena" from the authorities. In 2014, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also sent an official dispatch to the Central Propaganda Department regarding the staging and performance of the program "Meeting at the end of the year - Tao Quan".

The show was even almost banned because it had many offensive scenes and vulgar dialogue./.
