(Baonghean) - One of the important tasks of elected representatives is to convey the results of work and resolutions of the People's Council to the people; participate in disseminating laws, explaining the meaning of important decisions of the government to create a connection between voters and the state. At the same time, thereby strengthening voters' support for the People's Council and governments at all levels.

Each time voters meet with elected representatives, they hope to have the opportunity to hear firsthand the policies, regulations, new bills or policy information related to their interests that have been discussed and decided by the People's Councils at all levels. However, in reality, there are meetings with voters that do not satisfy voters and people because of the somewhat irresponsible working style of elected representatives. Some elected representatives report to voters by reading draft laws, policy documents, and resolutions of the People's Councils at all levels prepared by staff.

To create consensus, support, and connection between voters and the People's Council, authorities at all levels, and People's Council delegates need to spend a lot of time learning about the lives of the people in the places they come into contact with, in order to select content from the People's Council Resolution, draft laws, and policies that are closely related to the local situation and the lives of voters to convey. When meeting voters, delegates need to clearly state the purpose and scope of the issues to be discussed so that the meeting is focused. It is necessary to explain to voters what is new, what areas need breakthroughs, what is the determination of the government and the responsibilities of voters and people for development policies. Avoid reading the documents verbatim and increase interaction with voters. When explaining documents, policies, and laws, it is necessary to use real-life examples from the lives of local people so that people can easily absorb them. Reality also shows that many policies issued by elected bodies are very suitable to reality but their implementation is not very effective and people do not support them because they have not done a good job of communicating so that people understand, do, and inspect.

It can be said that, in order to improve the quality of activities of People's Councils at all levels and so that policy documents, laws and Resolutions of People's Councils do not only remain on paper but penetrate deeply into the hearts of the people and quickly enter into practical life, the communication work of elected representatives needs to be further innovated and improved.
