It depicts a man resembling President Putin standing, leaning on a model of the globe. On the planet's surface are white arrows dotted with red stars.
Russia's new "secret plan. Vladimir Putin wants to expand his influence not only with elections" – is the subtitle printed on the cover. The word "new" is in italics.
It seems that the authors want to mention the story of "Russian interference" in the US election, for which no evidence has been found. However, Time journalists are not "convinced" by the official report of the US Department of Justice, according to which President Donald Trump and his staff did not collude with Moscow.
And they attribute to Russia a "secret new plan".
The accompanying article in this issue asserts that Moscow is creating a “world network of tyrants.” In the author’s view, Russia has been constantly interfering in the internal affairs of Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and other countries, in order to strengthen regimes “under Moscow’s control.”
The journalist does not mention the destruction and catastrophe that the military campaign of the Americans and their allies has caused around the world. Specifically, the article does not mention the bombing of Syrian territory by the US-led coalition without UN authorization and the calls for violent intervention to overthrow the legitimate leader Bashar al-Assad. The situation in Venezuela, where opposition member Juan Guaido declared himself President with US support, is also an example of “Russian interference” because Moscow refuses to recognize the self-proclaimed head of state, according to the author of the article.
