VOV.VN - On February 20, the Swedish Volvo Car Group announced that it would recall 59,000 vehicles in 40 markets around the world due to software errors.

According to Volvo, this software error can cause the car's engine and electrical system to suddenly shut down while the car is running. Most of the cars with this software error were sold in Sweden, the UK and Germany. Of these, Sweden alone will have to recall 24,000 cars. About 100 police cars are also affected by this problem.

The 2016 Volvo 60 and 70 models are affected by the software issue, which is common with the same engines. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified and instructed to contact their nearest Volvo dealer to have the software issue fixed at no cost.

Previously, Swedish TV made the incident public after a Volvo car user talked about the car stalling while driving on an online forum. This person said that his family car had suddenly stalled three times while driving on the highway./.
