Special training on cancer prevention

(Baonghean) -On September 15, the Provincial Cancer Prevention Board, Nghe An Oncology Hospital in collaboration with the Central Cancer Hospital's Steering Committee organized a cancer prevention training course taught by leading specialists in this disease.

During the 1-day course, the trainees, who are leaders and heads of clinics of public and non-public hospitals in the area; leaders of district, city and town health centers; collaborators of the national target program for cancer prevention and control and doctors of Nghe An Oncology Hospital... will learn and approach the following contents: methods of cancer diagnosis and treatment, treatment and palliative care of cancer patients, methods of cancer diagnosis on the cytological aspect, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

This is one of the activities within the national cancer prevention target program being implemented in many provinces and cities with the overall goal of gradually reducing the incidence and mortality rate due to cancer while improving the quality of life for cancer patients. The training course is also of practical significance as Nghe An Oncology Hospital has just been established and is in operation.
