Training on propaganda work in the fields of science, technology and environment

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 11, in Cua Lo Town, the Central Propaganda Department coordinated with the Academy of Journalism and Communication to organize a national conference to train propaganda work in the fields of science, technology and environment nationwide.

Attending the conference were comrade Truong Minh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department. Comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council attended and spoke at the conference.



Conference overview.

Attending the conference, delegates were informed of the following topics: Overview report on the implementation of science and technology development guidelines and policies, directions, goals and tasks of science and technology until 2020; the situation of social science research and requirements for advisory work in the fields of political science, social sciences and humanities; advisory work in the field of environment.

The speech of comrade Tran Hong Chau at the conference affirmed: Developing and applying science and technology is one of the top national policies, the most important driving force for socio-economic development and national defense. In recent years, the environment has become a global concern, environmental protection is one of the vital issues of humanity, a factor ensuring the health and quality of life of the people, investing in environmental protection is investing in sustainable development. Based on the above importance, over the past many years, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has issued many types of documents to lead and direct the fields of science, technology and environmental protection; the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee have issued many mechanisms and policies to organize implementation and achieved many results. Environmental protection has been given attention and direction, changing the environmental landscape from urban to rural areas.

However, up to now Nghe An is still a poor province, human resources for investment in science and technology development and environmental protection are limited, and results have not been as expected.

Through this conference, Nghe An considers this a good opportunity to learn and share experiences in propaganda work of provinces and cities across the country and acquire knowledge to continue to propagate leadership, direct research, application, and transfer of science and technology for socio-economic development; at the same time, raise awareness of environmental protection, contributing significantly to helping Nghe An complete the goal: Becoming a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2015; creating the foundation to basically become an industrial province by 2020.
