Training for actors and musicians of Nghe Tinh folk opera

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 4, at the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage, the Department of Performing Arts in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An and Ha Tinh organized the opening ceremony of a training course for actors and musicians of Nghe Tinh Folk Drama.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Pham Dinh Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts; Meritorious Artist Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An; Ms. Phan Thu Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh, along with officials, actors, musicians and lecturers of the folk song troupes of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

Mr. Pham Dinh Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts, spoke at the training session.

The training course took place from November 4 to November 23, 2013. During this time, the actors were trained in acting skills, methods of performing folk songs, methods of combining musical instruments in the orchestra and handling stage situations.

The training course aims to contribute to promoting and preserving the folk heritage of Vi and Giam, not only worthy of being a national intangible cultural heritage but also a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity; nurturing talents for musicians and performing artists at art units, improving the technical quality of the art stage.

Participating in teaching the training class are stage theorists, with deep knowledge of folk songs, meritorious artists, actors and experienced musicians from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
