Communication skills training for prenatal and newborn screening project

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, September 25, the Provincial Department of Population and Family Planning opened a training course on communication skills for 125 specialized staff of 30 maintenance communes and 95 expansion communes under the 2012 Prenatal and Newborn Screening Project.

Overview of the training class

At the training course, comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Head of the Provincial Department of Population/Family Planning acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the population staff at the grassroots level in the past time; at the same time, emphasized a number of tasks and requirements for the population staff in the coming time, in which it is necessary to focus on propaganda and mobilization of people to understand the purpose and significance of prenatal and newborn screening, in order to contribute to improving population quality.

Through the training course, trainees are equipped with basic knowledge and communication, advocacy and counseling skills in the prenatal and newborn screening program, to effectively deploy activities and organize the implementation of the Project's objectives.
