Training on Improving IT Application Capacity for Women Leaders in Border Provinces

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, March 18, in Vinh city, the Institute of Information and Communications Strategy - Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with Nghe An Department of Information and Communications organized the opening ceremony of a training course to improve IT application capacity for female leaders in border provinces.

Attending the training course were Mr. Phan Manh Lam - Deputy Director of the Institute of Information and Communications Strategy; Mr. Lee Yoong Suk - Korean expert representing the Vietnam - Korea IT Cooperation Project, and trainees who are female leaders of border provinces including: Lang Son, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam.

From March 18 to March 22, 2013, students will study 4 topics: Trends in IT&TT development, orientation, policies for IT&TT development and IT application in Vietnam; E-government; Management and IT project management. After that, students will also visit the IT application model at the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district, Nghe An.

Improving the capacity of IT application for female leaders is one of the contents of the Vietnam - Korea IT Cooperation project, aiming to help female leaders in border provinces better understand the importance of IT application as well as equipping them with knowledge to promote IT application in state agencies. Thereby changing their thinking and management methods, contributing to enhancing socio-economic efficiency, promoting the development of the country as well as propagating and disseminating the state's legal policies, developing production in border provinces and narrowing the digital gap between regions.
