Climate Smart Agriculture Training
(Baonghean.vn)- From June 23 to 25, Ky Son district coordinated with the Vietnam Forest and Delta Project and Nghe An Provincial Agricultural Extension Center to organize a training course on "Climate-Smart Agriculture Development".
Attending the training course were managers and specialists from the Department of Agriculture, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Agricultural Extension Center, Veterinary Station, Plant Protection Station, Farmers' Association, District Women's Union and agricultural extension officers from 21 communes and towns in the district.

The training program focuses on the topic of climate-smart agriculture (CSA); sharing CSA models in Vietnam; selecting sustainable CSA models that are suitable for Ky Son's conditions; planning to implement selected CSA models; and planning to replicate and apply CSA models.
The training course aims to equip trainees with knowledge about the main manifestations and causes of climate change; Main impacts of climate change on Vietnam and Nghe An province; Specific impacts of climate change on agricultural activities in Ky Son; outline the main contents of CSA; identify CSA models suitable for Ky Son. Thereby helping the district develop an action plan to develop CSA models in Ky Son based on the plan of Nghe An province and the replication plan in communes in the district to develop CSA models.
