Fire prevention and fighting training for schools

(Baonghean.vn)- The Department of Education and Training and the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (PC66) of Nghe An Police have just completed a specialized training course on fire prevention and fighting in schools for members of the grassroots fire prevention and fighting team (schools) and staff and teachers working directly in areas with many flammable substances in schools (universities, colleges, vocational schools, high schools and secondary schools) in Vinh City.

Within the framework of the topic, students will learn about the position, importance, principles, and nature of fire prevention and fighting; legal documents of the State on fire prevention and fighting, some basic knowledge about fire prevention and fighting in the use of electricity, gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas; on-site fire fighting procedures. In addition, students will also participate in practical exercises on the structure, features, functions, inspection, maintenance, and use of some common fire fighting equipment; using blankets to extinguish gasoline drums; wall hydrant fire fighting formation...

Through the training course, the aim is to strengthen the propaganda and dissemination of legal documents of the State on fire prevention and fighting, measures to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety in order to reduce the number of fires and damage caused by fires at schools in Nghe An province. At the same time, consolidate and equip basic knowledge of fire prevention and fighting operations, fire fighting movements and techniques suitable for the nature of activities at educational institutions... to meet the requirements of on-site fire prevention and fighting for schools.

Fire prevention and fighting training contents (both theory and practice) will be tested and evaluated after each training session. At the end of the training course, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Department issued 269 fire prevention and fighting training certificates to trainees who scored average or higher in theory and practice.
