A group of 14 Truong Bon Youth Volunteers were proposed to be awarded the title of Armed Forces Hero.

To focus on solving outstanding issues and obstacles in the emulation and reward work, one of the issues that the Emulation and Reward Council of the Ministry of National Defense focuses on solving is: Reviewing, discovering, and proposing the policy of awarding the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to collectives with outstanding achievements in the resistance wars for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Accordingly, on this occasion, 7 typical collectives were proposed to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

Accordingly, based on Official Dispatch No. 4947, dated May 9, 2008 of the Central Party Office, conveying the direction of the Secretariat, the Standing Office of the Emulation and Commendation Council of the Ministry of National Defense has sent a document to the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee on the proposal for the Secretariat to consider and approve the policy of honoring the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces for 7 groups including: Nguyen Ngoc Nai Guerrilla Squad (Ngoc Thuy Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi); Dinh Bang Young Guerrilla Team (Dinh Bang Commune, Tien Son District, Bac Ninh); Group of 14 Truong Bon Youth Volunteers (Nghe An); Group of 10 Dong Loc Intersection Youth Volunteers (Ha Tinh); Group of 11 Huong River Girls (Hue City, Thua Thien-Hue); Bui Ngoc Du Squad (Division 325, Huong Giang Corps); Tank Crew 377 (Tank Regiment 273, Tay Nguyen Corps).

These are groups with outstanding achievements in combat and combat service, recorded in the history or tradition of the locality or unit; and have monuments erected to commemorate their achievements...
