Exercise after studying: you will remember better
A study by scientists from Radboun University, Netherlands, recently published in the journal Current Biology, shows that aerobic exercise after 4 hours of studying will help increase memory.
Researchers don't know exactly why exercise improves memory, but animal studies have shown that when they exercise more, it increases the production of special neurotransmitters that help with memory, according to The Sidney Morning Herald.

The study involved three groups of 72 people, who spent 40 minutes memorizing the locations of colorful pictures on a screen. The participants' memories were then tested.
One group did nothing, one group exercised immediately, and the other group watched a documentary for four hours before exercising. Two days later, all three groups returned to the lab and were tested again using a brain scanner.
The group that watched the movie and then exercised showed significantly better memory and brain scans showed more consistent responses in the hippocampus region of the brain.

Researchers say that with this study, appropriate, well-timed exercise can help with better memory, which is expected to be of particular benefit in schools.
