Attending the program were Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council; Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan; President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Dang Ngoc Tung - Head of the Steering Committee of the 10th Vietnam Glory (VQVN).
After 9 times of organization, the VQVN program has honored more than 100 individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in all areas of social life, national defense and security. With the theme "Overcoming difficulties to move forward", this year's VQVN program honored 26 groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in all areas of social life, national defense and security.
Le Van Duoc (9B grade student, Thanh Ngoc Secondary School, Thanh Chuong, Nghe An) - a brave male student who saved 5 friends from drowning on June 17 and the collective of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (Vinh City) were honored to be two representatives of the collective and individuals of Nghe An province honored in this program. Forgetting the danger, jumping into the deep water to save 5 children from death, but on the stage of the program, Le Van Duoc, very shyly shared that, at that time, he did not think of anything, he just wanted to save the children. Talking about his future dream, Duoc confided that he wanted to become a soldier to protect the country.
