High focus on VSIP Nghe An Project
(Baonghean) - As the 7th project of VSIP Group, VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park is the largest project invested in Nghe An up to this point, receiving special attention and care from the leaders of VSIP Group and Nghe An province. These days, the VSIP construction site is extremely bustling and urgent because many investment items are being constructed in the industrial park such as roads, factories, wastewater drainage systems, site leveling... Just yesterday, the barren rice fields in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province now have the appearance of a large, impressive industrial park with spacious roads and infrastructure, and factories ready to signal a prosperous season for investment.
Mr. Edwin Chee - Deputy General Director of VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd. said: "As of February 10, 2017, representatives of more than 80 companies have come to learn about information and investment opportunities at VSIP Nghe An, of which 7 companies have signed investment commitments with a total expected investment capital of more than 300 billion VND on a total area of more than 6 hectares. There are 3 companies that have received land handover and are implementing factory construction, the first company is expected to come into operation at the end of the first quarter of 2017". It is known that the 3 companies are TDV Vietnam Production and Trading Group Co., Ltd., NANOCO Vinh One Member Co., Ltd., Vietnam Post Corporation.

The above joyful information is not only for investors but also for Nghe An because we expect a lot; each Nghe An resident, especially the residents of the area whose land was recovered, expect a lot. They themselves have been to Binh Duong, where VSIP Industrial and Urban Area in Binh Duong is operating, witnessed the growth and change of Binh Duong province with what VSIP Group has brought, and then when they returned, they accompanied and supported investors most actively, quickly giving up land and houses for the largest industrial park in Nghe An to grow up.
Joyful because currently, although 132.78 hectares of industrial land and 42.78 hectares of urban and service land have been handed over by Nghe An to VSIP Nghe An for construction, all work is still being carried out urgently and drastically, especially the site clearance and infrastructure investment. And in that context, the work of attracting investment here is of interest to the group and units, investors have come to Nghe An, as a signal of "good land attracts birds"...
On June 30, 2015, VSIP Nghe An Project was granted an Investment Certificate and just over 2 months later, on an autumn day in September, VSIP Nghe An solemnly held a groundbreaking ceremony with the presence of the Prime Minister of Vietnam and the Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore. Up to now, after less than 2 years, a huge amount of work has been deployed with the participation of the entire political system in Nghe An, with the close attention and direction, the focused investment of VSIP Group, for VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park on an area of hundreds of hectares so that the project can be deployed on schedule soon.
Commenting on the progress of the VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park Project, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province said: We highly appreciate the investor, VSIP is a corporation that Nghe An wishes to invite to the province, investing very systematically, scientifically and professionally. The professionalism of the investor is shown in all stages from investment procedures to completing documents, investing quickly, systematically and on schedule. The project marks a great success in attracting investment to Nghe An in the past time and will create a breakthrough for Nghe An in the coming time. |
To further facilitate the project's operation, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has submitted to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Planning and Investment permission to adjust the boundary of the Southeast Economic Zone. Accordingly, the VSIP Industrial, Urban and Service Park Project is now located in the economic zone.
Nghe An has invested in a 70m wide Vinh - Hung Tay road, connecting Vinh city directly to VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park. In 2016, Vinh city and Hung Nguyen district quickly cleared the land and relocated hundreds of households to build the road.
Continue to attract investors
Up to now, VSIP Nghe An has leveled more than 70 hectares of industrial park land in phase 1A. In parallel with leveling the ground, VSIP Nghe An is also building internal road systems (roads D3, D2, N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N9), wastewater systems, water supply and drainage systems, and lighting systems along the above routes. Currently, some main roads and internal roads serving the industrial park's operations have been basically completed and put into use.
VSIP Nghe An is also constructing a number of facilities to serve the activities of the industrial park, including: wastewater treatment plant, rental factory area, fire protection station, and office. Some rental factories have been completed, the project office is expected to be completed by June 2017, and the wastewater treatment plant is expected to be completed by August 2017.
Mr. Edwin Chee - Deputy General Director of VSIP Co., Ltd. added: In parallel with the investment in the industrial park, VSIP Nghe An has started to level about 7 hectares of urban and service area in the project. In 2017, VSIP Nghe An is expected to complete the leveling of 33 hectares of urban and service area, construction of the entrance gate to the urban area, some main internal roads in the urban area, central park, shopping area and adjacent houses in the closed urban area in the first development phase of the project.

Attracting more foreign-invested customers to Nghe An will be a focus for VSIP Nghe An in 2017. Accordingly, the unit will strive to promote VSIP Nghe An's own investment promotion activities in foreign markets. In addition to participating in seminars and investment promotion activities with VSIP Group, VSIP Nghe An plans to organize at least 7 investment promotion seminars for VSIP Nghe An in several Asian countries (including 1 seminar in Malaysia, 1 in Taiwan, 1 in Hong Kong, 1 in Thailand and 3 in Korea). VSIP Nghe An is also planning to implement a number of customer support options related to transportation services to increase the competitiveness of VSIP Nghe An.
VSIP started operating in Vietnam in 1996 and has 20 years of experience in developing industrial parks, urban areas and services in Vietnam. After the first project in Binh Duong province, VSIP has continuously developed projects in Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Quang Ngai and Hai Duong. VSIP Nghe An is the 7th project with a total area of 750 hectares, bringing the total land fund of VSIP under development to over 7,000 hectares. Currently, all VSIP projects attract more than 660 investors from 30 countries and territories with a total domestic and foreign investment capital of about 32 billion USD; creating jobs for more than 179,000 workers nationwide.
