Focus on directing the investigation to clarify the murder case in Tam Hop, Tuong Duong

(Baonghean.vn)- On the afternoon of July 15, speaking with a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau - Director of Nghe An Provincial Police said: Currently, Nghe An Provincial Police are continuing to direct relevant professional departments to coordinate with professional forces of the Ministry of Public Security to focus on investigating and clarifying the murder case in Phong village, Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district. The Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security has also sent a reconnaissance team to coordinate the investigation.

Previously, at 8:00 p.m. on July 2, 2015, Nghe An Provincial Police received a report from Tuong Duong District Police stating that at around 3:00 p.m. on July 2, 2015, Vi Van Hoai (born in 1969) and his son Vi Van Tuyen (born in 1991), residing in Phong village, Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district, were working in the field in area C5 of Ken Ta stream (belonging to Phong village) and went from their shack to area C5 of Canh Ta stream to fish. While walking along Canh Ta stream, they discovered Vieng Thi Duong Sinh (born in 1952, Tho's mother), Le Thi Yen (born in 1989, Tho's wife), and Lo Viet Chung, born in August 2014 (Tho's son) all lying dead on the bank of Canh Ta stream. After that, Mr. Vi Van Tuyen went to Mr. Tho's shack and saw Mr. Tho lying dead in front of the shack, so he reported it to the authorities. After receiving the report, Tuong Duong District Police promptly coordinated with Tam Hop Commune Police to be present at the scene to organize initial investigation activities.

Identifying this as a particularly serious case, the Provincial Police reported to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the professional departments to ask for direction and coordination in investigating and clarifying the case. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch requesting the Provincial Police and related departments to concentrate their forces and at the same time ask for direction from the Ministry of Public Security to urgently investigate and clarify the case.

Nghe An Provincial Police urgently established a Council to examine the scene, conduct an autopsy, identify related traces and conduct investigative activities according to regulations. Mobilizing experienced and capable investigators, detectives and appraisers to focus on fighting to clarify the case.

Because the location of the case is a remote area of ​​Tuong Duong mountainous district; bordering the Lao PDR, few people pass by, far from residential areas, with many ethnic groups (Tay Poong, Thai, Mong...), the level of education and legal awareness is still limited, so the process of organizing the investigation and verification encountered many difficulties.
