(Baonghean.vn)- On April 1, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the provincial working delegation inspected the site clearance work of the project to upgrade National Highway 1A through Nghe An province. The delegation included comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments, agencies and branches.

At the inspection locations in Vinh City, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu and Hoang Mai Town, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation listened to local leaders and construction units report on the site clearance situation, difficulties and problems in the implementation process.

According to preliminary reports from localities, currently, along the entire National Highway 1A passing through our province, there are still nearly 10 km of land that have not been cleared. The main reason is that some households still have questions about compensation during the clearance process, along with the lack of determination and decisiveness of some local authorities.

After listening to the reports of the localities, departments and branches on the progress of land acquisition and clearance, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee concluded: The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A is a national key project, therefore, the authorities at all levels must take drastic action to mobilize and explain to the people about the policies of the Party and the State, all must focus on site clearance, creating conditions for construction units to speed up the completion of the project. Localities are required to complete the site handover (including places where the site must be resettled) before April 15, 2014.
