Focus on thoroughly resolving issues of concern to voters

(Baonghean.vn)-On the morning of December 5, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to prepare content for the 10th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council.

Attending the meeting were the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, members of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of departments and branches.

Up to this point, reports on socio-economic management of the Provincial People's Committee as well as the settlement of voters' and People's Council delegates' petitions in the 9th session have been submitted to the Provincial People's Council for approval.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Education and Training to answer questions about: overcharging in schools; shortcomings in the arrangement and rotation of cadres and teachers; violations of population policies in the sector; multi-level marketing of teachers; management and improvement of the quality of joint training. The Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development answered questions about: difficulties in planning management, construction investment, flood discharge operation mechanism, environmental protection and disaster prevention of hydropower plants and dam systems in the province; progress of handover of rural power grid management, electricity prices, and poor quality of electricity supply. The Department of Construction answered about the responsibility in handling domestic water sources that do not meet the prescribed quality and standards.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of department leaders reported on the contents and clarified issues that needed to be explained to the People's Council and voters.

In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong assigned specific tasks to the relevant departments and agencies to actively resolve issues raised by voters, People's Council delegates and monitoring delegations. Responses must be specific, concise and easy to understand. The Office and departments and agencies need to closely coordinate in implementing, handling and advising the Provincial People's Committee to direct the effective resolution of issues within their responsibilities.

Also on the morning of December 5, the Provincial People's Committee discussed solutions to implement Circular 09/2013 jointly issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Home Affairs on a number of policies for developing preschool education in the 2011-2015 period according to Decision 60/2011 of the Prime Minister. If implemented according to the guidance of the Circular, the education sector can overcome the shortage of preschool teachers. At the same time, teachers currently on contract at the preschool level will receive allowances and professional training, contributing to the construction of a standardized preschool education system and universal education for 5-year-old preschool children.
