Focus on supporting farmers in border areas to develop comprehensively

The main contents of the agreement focus on key tasks such as: Strengthening propaganda and mobilization work; Coordinating to build a comprehensively strong association and Border Guard units, consolidating the grassroots political system on the border and islands.

In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the mobilization of people in border areas to effectively implement socio-economic development programs; build spiritual and cultural life, promote traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups; coordinate to mobilize and guide farmers to participate in protecting territorial sovereignty, maintaining security and order in border and island areas.
The delegates expressed their agreement and high consensus on the draft content; at the same time, they added some specific contents to improve the effectiveness of coordination activities. In particular, they noted the need to regularly review and supplement the contents of activities each year to suit the actual situation at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard affirmed that the people are the core element in building and protecting a peaceful and strong border. Therefore, the Border Guard as well as the Farmers' Association have the responsibility to propagate, support and help the people develop the economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, stabilize their lives and join the Party Committees and authorities at all levels in protecting and maintaining the peace of the border. The Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard also hopes that the two sides will continue to implement the signed contents to achieve the highest efficiency.
