In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial People's Committee has focused on implementing solutions to curb inflation, stabilize the macro-economy, and ensure social security, so the economy continues to grow well, and the inflation rate has decreased. The province's GDP growth reached more than 11%. Administrative reform continues to receive attention and has many positive changes. National defense - security and social order and safety are maintained. However, in addition to the achieved results, there are still shortcomings that need to be focused on overcoming such as inflation remains high; agricultural and industrial production faces many difficulties; the volume of implementation and disbursement of basic construction has not reached the set plan; the implementation of new rural construction is still slow, the key task of adjusting the planning has not received due attention...

In the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial People's Committee will focus on directing the maximum mobilization of all resources, mobilizing all sectors, levels and people to overcome difficulties, striving to achieve the highest socio-economic development targets in 2011 - the first year of the 2011 - 2015 term; curbing inflation, removing difficulties in production and business, striving to achieve the GDP growth target for the whole year; stepping up investment promotion and implementing basic construction; continuing to resolutely implement the goals on education, health, culture, and social security; perfecting the government apparatus at all levels on schedule and in accordance with the law; continuing to promote administrative reform; ensuring national defense - security and social order and safety; stepping up information and propaganda work, creating social consensus to well implement the set socio-economic targets.

Next, members of the Provincial People's Committee listened to the Department of Home Affairs report on administrative reform work; the Provincial People's Committee Office presented a draft report reviewing the direction and administration work in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks for the last 6 months of the year.

After listening to the opinions of the members of the Provincial People's Committee and related sectors, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Duc Phoc acknowledged the results achieved in the recent past. That is, successfully organizing the inauguration ceremony of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan's tomb; organizing a live television broadcast of the 100th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country; summarizing 3 years of cooperation between Nghe An province and General Department 5 - Ministry of Public Security; opening the Nghe An Electronic Information Portal; successfully organizing the first session of the 16th Provincial People's Council and a number of other activities.
