Concentrate resources, complete socio-economic targets and tasks in 2014

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (September 30), chaired by comrade Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to assess the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2014, propose tasks and solutions to focus on leadership and direction to strive to achieve the targets for the whole year. Attending the meeting were comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of provincial departments and branches.

The report assessed that the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2014 continued to have positive developments. The growth rate is estimated to increase by 6.4% over the same period. Budget revenue is estimated to reach over 5,401 billion VND, reaching 80.2% of the estimate, increasing by 23.9% over the same period. Investment attraction is focused on quality and higher investment efficiency. The cultural and social fields, including many traditional contents of the province such as education, arts, and sports, continue to be stable and developed. Coordination of the Party Committees, authorities, and political systems at all levels is better; state management in a number of fields, administrative reform has made progress. National defense, security, and social order and safety are maintained. Based on the analysis of the existing problems and limitations, the members proposed a number of solutions to focus on leadership and direction in the coming time.

In conclusion, comrade Tran Hong Chau emphasized: The tasks and solutions of all levels and sectors from now until the end of the year need to focus on leadership and direction to review the targets and tasks of 2014, thereby concentrating resources to strive for completion. Promote the action program of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo on Nghe An; fully prepare plans to prevent and combat natural disasters and floods; take care of production, ensure construction works. Strengthen state management; administrative reform; resolve difficulties and obstacles for enterprises; clear land, create conditions for implementing works and projects in the area; ensure social security, protect the environment. Focus on reviewing and handling complaints, denunciations and pressing issues among the people right from the grassroots, creating an environment for the organization of Party congresses at all levels to take place successfully. The Provincial People's Committee and relevant sectors need to lead and direct the summary of the 2014 tasks and the implementation of the 2015 plan; along with that, develop a 5-year socio-economic development plan (2016 - 2020), in order to create a basis for Party committees at all levels to develop documents for Party congresses at all levels in a practical and highly effective manner.

Also in the morning, the Standing Committee gave comments on the project to develop high-quality human resource training facilities in Nghe An province, period 2014 - 2020. Concluding this content, comrade Tran Hong Chau requested to evaluate prices, forecast the demand for high-quality resources in the coming years, thereby identifying training facilities that need to be invested in and upgraded; focusing on attracting good managers and lecturers; innovating training programs and content, ensuring that after training, there are addresses for use. The Provincial Party Standing Committee also commented on the report summarizing two and a half years of implementing Resolution 09/NQ-TU, dated March 13, 2012 of the Nghe An Provincial Party Executive Committee on "Improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations in Nghe An province, period 2011 - 2015".
