In 2013, the domestic economic situation did not have many positive changes, affecting the economic and social situation of Nghe An. However, the province has focused on directing drastic, synchronous and effective solutions to manage socio-economic development. Therefore, economic growth has shown signs of recovery. Export turnover is estimated at 460 million USD. Budget revenue in the area is estimated at over 6 trillion VND, equal to 108% of the estimate, up 6.5% over the same period. Orienting the socio-economic development plan for 2014, the Provincial Party Standing Committee agreed to continue improving the investment environment, mobilizing and effectively using resources, promoting sustainable production and business development, striving for GDP growth of 7-8%; budget revenue of more than 6,500 billion VND, reducing the poverty rate to about 10%.
