At the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Lam, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Director of the Provincial Police, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and leaders of the Provincial Police, briefly reported the results of the 67th National Police Conference, the achievements of the police force in 2011, emphasizing the 5 key tasks of the police sector in 2012.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Phan Dinh Trac acknowledged the efforts of the Provincial Police Party Committee in directing and implementing the task of ensuring political security and social order and safety in 2011, and pointed out emerging issues in the area that the police force needs to focus on and promptly resolve, especially the issue of illegal exploitation and transportation of forest products, disputes and complaints among the people, traffic accidents, labor accidents, etc.
The police force needs to focus on cracking down on crimes involving firearms, drug crimes, illegal logging and dog theft, contain and reduce traffic accidents; build and consolidate security forces from the province to the grassroots level, increase the effectiveness of mass mobilization work, and raise the sense of responsibility of officers and soldiers, especially leaders and commanders. In particular, the police force needs to proactively develop a plan to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to implement work to ensure safety for people to enjoy the Spring Festival.
