Focus on intelligence, responsibility, and correctly assess the socio-economic situation in the spirit of Conclusion No. 20-KL/TU

(Baonghean.vn) -Continuing the meeting of the Provincial Party Committee, this afternoon, January 23, under the direction of comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee listened to and gave opinions on the draft Summary Report on the implementation of Conclusion No. 20-KL/TU of the Politburo on Nghe An.

After the Conclusion No. 20-KL/TW, dated June 2, 2003 of the Politburo on socio-economic development of the province to 2010 and orientation to 2020, the Provincial Party Committee organized the dissemination and dissemination of the content to all levels and sectors and issued documents directing the implementation such as Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU on promulgating the action program with 25 programs and projects; the conclusion orientation was approved by the Resolutions of the 16th and 17th Provincial Party Congresses and concretizing Conclusion No. 20-KL/TU, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 239/QD-TTg approving the Project to build Vinh City into an economic and cultural center of the North Central region; Decision No. 147/QD-TTg approving the Project to develop the socio-economic region of Western Nghe An.

To assess the current situation in all aspects after nearly 10 years of implementing Conclusion 20-KL/TU and make recommendations to the Central Government in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee Office has drafted a report to submit to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

After listening to the draft report and opinions of the comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Secretary requested to reorganize the Steering Committee for implementation; directed the Department of Planning and Investment, the Provincial Party Committee Office, and the Provincial People's Committee Office to collect relevant documents such as reports on the implementation of Decision 147/QD-TTg, Decision 239/QD TTg; the implementation of the conclusions of the Prime Minister's visits and working sessions in Nghe An; sought opinions from central ministries, branches, and the Northwest Steering Committee to supplement and complete the report as well as propose recommendations.

The Provincial Party Secretary noted that it is necessary to take a benchmark for comparison at each point in time to clearly see the results achieved and the shortcomings, limitations, and point out the causes as well as solutions to overcome them. Some proposed policies and mechanisms of the Central Committee must be realistic and have a long-term strategic vision, based on reviewing Decisions such as: Nghe An Socio-Economic Development Master Plan to 2020; South Thanh Bac Nghe Regional Planning; South Nghe Bac Ha. The report preparation work requires the establishment of an editorial team; a summary of each sector is required; the Provincial People's Committee organizes the summary and the Steering Committee synthesizes before submitting it to the Standing Committee for approval. The Secretary noted: This is extremely important content, related to the long-term strategic development orientation of the province, so the comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in charge of each field must invest their intelligence, contribute to the development of the report as well as make recommendations to the Central Committee.
