Busy preparing for Tet at Ban Ve Hydropower Plant
(Baonghean.vn) - Along with ensuring safe equipment operation, engineers at Ban Ve Hydropower Plant have also renovated the landscape space, fully prepared peach blossoms, kumquat trees, and green Chung cakes to welcome the fullest Tet, even though they have to be hundreds of kilometers away from their families.
In the last days of the year, when the Tet atmosphere has filled everywhere, at Ban Ve Hydropower Plant, more than 200 kilometers away from Vinh city, the operating engineers and equipment maintenance engineers on duty here have also fully prepared to welcome together the moment of transition between the old year and the new year.

As those who started working at the plant from the very beginning, when the project first started in 2004-2005, engineers at Ban Ve Hydropower Plant are almost used to spending Tet away from home. However, for the engineers in orange, ensuring the plant operates safely is an extremely important and noble task. They are willing to put aside family matters, Spring Festival celebrations, and Tet to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Engineer Nguyen Tien Giap - Head of the Operation Workshop Union, shared: The characteristic of the Electricity industry is that there must always be someone on duty 24/7 to ensure safe operation of equipment. In the early years, when having to celebrate Tet away from home, everyone was sad, but now they are used to it. In the days before Tet, the brothers also redecorated the landscape, flower gardens, and ornamental plants. Many pots of chrysanthemums were also bought to make the space more colorful. Especially, before Tet, the brothers gathered together to wrap Chung cakes, considering this a way to preserve the traditional values of the nation.

Engineer Nguyen Van Phuc - working at the Operation Workshop shared: After many years of celebrating Tet at the factory, almost all of us know how to wrap Chung cake. Being able to personally wrap the cake, the symbol of Tet, has brought us a lot of emotions, making Tet away from home more cozy.

Mr. Hoang Van Ngoc - Deputy Director of Ban Ve Hydropower Company said: To encourage and motivate staff and engineers working at the factory to celebrate Tet in a warm, happy way and to reduce homesickness, the company's Board of Directors has also assigned specialized departments to ensure adequate provision of necessary necessities.
"With the serious working spirit and high responsibility of the staff and engineers, sacrificing Tet holidays with family to effectively operate the factory and contribute to increasing electricity output for the national power system is extremely valuable," Mr. Ngoc emphasized.
