Indian Coast Guard ship visits Ho Chi Minh City

This visit of the Indian Coast Guard ship contributes to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the Coast Guards of the two countries.

With the permission of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, the Indian Coast Guard ship SAMRAT docked at Ho Chi Minh City for a friendly visit from December 2 to 6.



This is the second time an Indian Coast Guard ship has visited Ho Chi Minh City. The first time was in March 2011. Photo: Xuan Duy.

During their visit to Ho Chi Minh City, officers and sailors of the Indian Coast Guard ship will perform activities such as laying wreaths at the Ho Chi Minh Monument; paying courtesy calls to leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Head of the Military Region 7 Command, the Coast Guard Department in the South and visiting the Command Headquarters of Coast Guard Region 3.

This visit of the Indian Coast Guard ship contributes to strengthening the friendship, cooperation, understanding and mutual trust between the two armies in general and the Coast Guards of the two countries in particular.

The SAMRAT is an advanced offshore patrol vessel with a length of 105m, a width of 12.9m and a displacement of 2,300 tons./.
