Ukrainian navy warship mocked as 'fishing boat'
The US-Ukraine military exercise Sea Breeze in the Black Sea has surprised the Chinese media. The pride of the Ukrainian admirals - the ship of the "Gyurza" project - has been called a "fishing boat" by the press.
Against the backdrop of a massive exercise involving an eight-thousand-ton US destroyer, the small Ukrainian boat (also known as the “mosquito fleet”) looks pitiful.

"Ukraine has launched a disappointing 'fishing boat', but the Project 58155 armored gunboat is the first surface ship created by the country itself since the Cold War," wrote Sohu news agency.
It should be noted that the boats of the "Gyurza" project are practically useless for patrolling coastal waters. The problem is that the boat's guns cannot effectively deploy fire without the use of counterweight systems to improve the balance and stability of the combat module. The anti-tank missile systems installed on them are not designed for operation at sea and quickly fail due to humidity.
Western experts boasted that “Ukraine used the exercise to demonstrate its force against Russia.” It can only be said that perhaps this small 50-ton gunboat is not enough to threaten the “heroic nation,” the news agency concluded.
