French naval ship to arrive in Da Nang
During the 5-day friendship visit, sailors of the French Navy ship Vendémiaire will have many exchange activities and joint exercises with the Vietnam Navy.
On the afternoon of November 11, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Da Nang announced that the French Navy ship Vendémiaire, carrying 92 sailors, will pay a friendly visit to Da Nang from November 15 to 19.

The two navies will have many exchange and volleyball friendly activities during the delegation's stay in Da Nang, especially joint training at sea according to the bilateral defense cooperation plan between Vietnam and France in 2014.
This is the third time a French Navy ship has visited Da Nang city, the most recent being in June 2010. This visit aims to promote and strengthen the friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Vendémiaire cruiser is tasked with ensuring French maritime sovereignty. The ship is over 93 m long, 14 m wide, has a draft of 4.4 m and a displacement of nearly 3,000 tons. In addition to modern equipment, the ship is also equipped with a helicopter.
