Train derailment in India: Death toll rises to 22
The death toll from a train derailment in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has risen to 22.
The accident occurred when two coaches of the Janta Express train travelling from Dehradun to Varanasi derailed at Bachhrawan station at 10 am.(local time), March 20, 2015.

Rescuers have recovered 22 bodies from the scene of the accident. The death toll is expected to rise as many victims are in critical condition.
Indian Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu said a thorough investigation into the accident is being urgently conducted. The Indian Railways also announced compensation of 4,000 USD to each family of the deceased./.
