Strange ship crashes into Vietnamese fishing boat
A total of 21 medium and large Chinese fishing vessels and more than 3,000 personnel rushed into the East Sea and violated Vietnam’s territorial waters. Meanwhile, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard announced that fishermen from the province were hit by a strange ship in the area of Bach Long Vi Island.
On March 10, Vietnam News Agency reported that China has conducted regular fishing patrols in the East Sea, citing the reason of "ensuring the safety and legitimate interests of Chinese fishermen". According to an official from the Hainan Fisheries Bureau, the patrol area includes Vietnam's Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos as well as other areas.

On the same day, Thanh Hoa province's border guards said they were coordinating with local authorities and fishermen to search for two fishermen missing at sea after being hit by a strange ship.
Specifically, the fishing boat with registration number TH 90599 TS with a capacity of 130 CV owned by Mr. Hoang Van Thao, born in 1956, residing in Bac Tho village (Ngu Loc commune, Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa province) was hit while fishing at coordinates 19 degrees 5 minutes north - 107 degrees 19 minutes east, 26 nautical miles from Bach Long Vi island. Two fishermen were missing, 5 people were rescued and brought to shore. After hitting the above fishing boat, the strange ship left.
Previously, on March 9, a fleet of China Marine Surveillance (CMS) ships officially stationed in the so-called "Sansha City" which actually includes Vietnam's Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
The above action was carried out despite the statement on March 7 by the spokesman of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Luong Thanh Nghi, once again affirming that: sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa. Any activities in these areas without the consent of Vietnam
