Russian submarine strikes down terrorists
The Black Sea Fleet's Veliki Novgorod submarine has launched a series of Kalibr missiles at terrorist bases on Syrian territory, the Russian Defense Ministry announced.
According to Sputnik on September 22, the attack took place when the ship was submerged in the Mediterranean Sea at around 10:11 am.
"A surprise missile strike in Idlid province destroyed important command posts, training facilities and armored vehicles of terrorists involved in an attempt to take 29 Russian military police officers prisoner in the northern Hama province," the statement said.
Objective surveillance data confirms all targets were destroyed.
"The targets of the strikes were positions discovered in recent days, concentrations of troops and armored vehicles, and ammunition depots of Jebhat-en-Nusra militants in Idlib province. The range of the strikes was about 300 kilometers," the statement said.
