Train suspended in mid-air launched in China
The world's first battery-powered trains suspended on tracks in mid-air have just been launched in China.
A test was conducted in Chengdu city on September 30, Mirror reported. The new train can reach speeds of up to 60km/h and carry 120 passengers per carriage.
These lithium-powered trains are more cost-effective and environmentally friendly than electric and rail systems, Zhai Wanming, project design director, told People's Daily China.
