Spain protests against austerity policies
Spain has announced austerity measures aimed at saving more than 60 billion euros by 2014.
Thousands of Spanish protesters angry about austerity policies demonstrated near the Parliament building on October 23 as the National Assembly was considering approving the draft 2013 budget. They chanted slogans against the austerity economic policies proposed by the center-right government of Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.
